The Dutch professional football players' union (VVCS) announces that

it is actively supporting the ‘Justice for Players’ class action lawsuit against FIFA

Last October, the French union of professional players (UNFP), chaired by David TERRIER (who also chairs FIFPRO EUROPE, the European umbrella organisation comprising 36 national unions), had already announced its support and its decision to become a co-plaintiff in this class action, alongside ‘Justice for Players’.

Now VVCS is lending its full support to this class action (see attached press release from ‘Justice for Players’).

This statement by VVCS comes against the backdrop of recent illegal attempts by FIFA to break up existing unions and replace them with pseudo-unions under its control (see below for links to the press release from FIFPRO and FIFPRO EUROPE, as well as reactions from European Commissioner MICALLEF and the European supporters' advocacy group ‘Football Supporters Europe’).
